Before Coffee & Camshafts became a national event series, there was MW2024 Cars & Coffee.
What started as a simple idea from Chris Cervenka with the help of Stewart Webb quickly turned into one of the most memorable mornings of Mustang Week 2024 and laid the foundation for what would eventually become Coffee & Camshafts.
At the time, there was no grand plan to build a multi-event platform. The goal was simple: create a place where Mustang enthusiasts could gather before the day's activities, enjoy some breakfast and coffee, connect with fellow owners, and celebrate the community that brings us all together.
What happened next exceeded every expectation we had.
The opportunity to host MW2024 Cars & Coffee came together quickly.
With just a few weeks to pull everything together, support began pouring in from all corners of the Mustang community. Friends of Ford and Ford Motor Company came on board, helping turn what started as a grassroots idea into something much bigger.
That support meant the world to us.
For me personally, Mustang Week has been a major part of my life for nearly a decade. I've attended as an enthusiast, participated through my career in the automotive industry, and helped support various events and activations over the years. Being able to help create something of our own during Mustang Week was incredibly meaningful.
Once the green light was given, it was time to get to work.
When event morning arrived, we knew there would be a good turnout.
We just didn't expect what happened next.
By the end of the event, more than 650 Mustangs had filled the lot and attendance approached nearly 1,000 enthusiasts throughout the morning.
Rows upon rows of Mustangs stretched across the venue as owners gathered to share stories, admire builds, reconnect with old friends, and make new ones. The atmosphere felt exactly like what we hoped it would become: welcoming, passionate, and completely centered around the Mustang community.
Somewhere around mid-morning, it became obvious that we were going to need more breakfast and more coffee next year.
That was a good problem to have.
One of the most important goals behind MW2024 Cars & Coffee was finding a way to give something back to the community that has given so much to all of us.
Thanks to the incredible support of more than 16 aftermarket brands, attendees had opportunities to win nearly $20,000 worth of Mustang performance parts, products, and experiences throughout the event.
That remains one of my favorite parts of what would eventually become Coffee & Camshafts.
The Mustang aftermarket industry is filled with companies that genuinely care about enthusiasts. Seeing so many brands step up to support the event and contribute products directly back to the community reinforced everything we love about this hobby.
The giveaways were exciting, but what they represented was even more important. It was proof that the industry and enthusiast community are strongest when they come together.
MW2024 Cars & Coffee would not have happened without the support of an incredible group of partners who believed in the vision from day one.

Looking back, MW2024 Cars & Coffee became something much bigger than a single event.
It proved there was demand for a community-focused gathering that combined enthusiast culture, industry partnerships, giveaways, and meaningful experiences.
More importantly, it showed us what was possible when enthusiasts, brands, and organizations all rallied behind a common goal.
The success of that morning became the catalyst for what would eventually evolve into Coffee & Camshafts.
As the platform grew beyond Mustang Week and expanded into Tennessee, Texas, Charlotte, and beyond, the mission remained exactly the same:
Create authentic experiences for enthusiasts.
Support the community.
Give back whenever possible.
And never lose sight of the people who make all of this worthwhile.
To every enthusiast who attended, every partner who supported the event, every volunteer who helped behind the scenes, and everyone who believed in the vision from the beginning, thank you.
MW2024 Cars & Coffee was the first chapter.
Coffee & Camshafts is the story that followed.
And it all started with a parking lot full of Mustangs, a cup of coffee, and a community that continues to inspire us every single day.
