When we started planning Coffee & Camshafts Charlotte, we knew we wanted to do something different.
The vision wasn't simply to host another car meet. We wanted to create an experience that attendees would remember long after the event was over. Thanks to the incredible support of Friends of Ford, Ford Motor Company, and Ford Performance Racing School, that's exactly what happened.
On a scorching summer morning at zMAX Dragway, more than 200 Mustangs and Ford-powered vehicles gathered for what would become one of the most memorable Coffee & Camshafts events to date.
Despite temperatures climbing well into the triple digits, enthusiasts showed up in force. The parking lot quickly filled with everything from classic Fox Bodies and Terminators to GT500s, Dark Horses, and track-focused builds from across the Carolinas and beyond.
But the cars were only part of the story.
The highlight of the event was undoubtedly the Ford Performance Racing School (now Wheelhouse) autocross demonstration experience.
For many attendees, this was their first opportunity to truly experience what a Mustang Dark Horse is capable of when driven by professional instructors in a performance environment.
And the best part?
It was completely free.
Thanks to Friends of Ford and Ford Motor Company, attendees had the opportunity to climb into the passenger seat and experience the handling, braking, acceleration, and capability of Ford's newest performance Mustang firsthand.
Throughout the morning, the Ford Performance Racing School instructors delivered ride after ride, putting smiles on faces and creating memories that attendees were still talking about long after the event ended.
It was a perfect example of what can happen when manufacturers, enthusiast organizations, and communities come together around a shared passion.
One of the core goals behind Coffee & Camshafts has always been creating experiences that go beyond simply parking cars in a lot.
Charlotte represented exactly that vision.
Throughout the morning, enthusiasts connected with fellow owners, explored incredible builds, met industry partners, and experienced Ford Performance in a way that simply isn't available to most enthusiasts on a daily basis.
The atmosphere felt authentic, welcoming, and community-driven from start to finish.
From longtime Mustang Week veterans to first-time attendees, the feedback was overwhelmingly positive and reinforced the idea that experiences like this are exactly what the Mustang community wants more of.
Events like Charlotte don't happen without incredible support behind the scenes.
A massive thank you goes out to Friends of Ford, Ford Motor Company, and Ford Performance Racing School for believing in the vision and helping make this event possible.
The opportunity to offer professional autocross ridealongs completely free of charge to attendees was something truly special, and it's a testament to Ford's continued commitment to supporting enthusiasts and investing in the Mustang community.
It was one of those rare moments where everyone involved understood the mission and came together to make something memorable happen.
Going into our first Coffee & Camshafts event in Charlotte, we honestly didn't know what to expect.
What we received was incredible support from more than 200 enthusiasts who braved extreme temperatures to spend the morning with us.
The turnout, enthusiasm, and positive feedback reminded us exactly why we continue investing so much into these events.
Coffee & Camshafts has always been about creating opportunities for enthusiasts to come together, build relationships, and experience the community that has given so much to all of us over the years.
Charlotte delivered on that mission in every possible way.

It could become a platform for experiences.
The success of the event helped shape the future direction of Coffee & Camshafts and reinforced the importance of continuing to create opportunities that bring enthusiasts closer to the cars, brands, and experiences they love.
To everyone who attended, supported, volunteered, partnered, or simply shared the experience with us, thank you.
We'll never forget this one.
